The beginning of a journey – on November 15, 1969, Dave Thomas opened his very first Wendy’s restaurant in Columbus, Ohio at 257 East Broad Street. In no time, the quick-service chain became known for its square beef patties, made from fresh beef, and iconic Frosty® desserts.

In September 1975, the first Canadian restaurant opens! Wendy's brought the beef to Canada when it opened the first international Wendy’s restaurant in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Prepare food order according to requests of the customers.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
  • Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
  • May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets.
  • May plan and determine related food and labour costs.

Employment Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is required
  • Experience in fast food restaurant is an asset
  • Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline
